What level of riders come to the Bend Fat Tire Tour?

Answer: All types.

Friday and Sunday are enough to satisfy the enthusiastic novice mountain biker who had ridden for a year or so to the intermediate to advanced rider. Really its all about speed and trail knowledge, so when in doubt slow it down.

Are the Trails Closed to this event?

NO, so please slow down and yield to all uphill traffic. Please pay special attention when the sight lines (amount of trail you can see) is limited as riders and runners appear quickly and we dont like crashing do we?

Saturdays rides confuse me? Whats the best option?

The Saturday 60 Mile adventure is not for the faint of heart. With a few points on trail to bail and come back early this is for the mountain biker looking for a full days ride and embraces the climb! We have a few points to bail and with guides and support you can make this less than 60 as you make your way through two aid stations back home to be carbon free!

Take the shuttle option from Wanoga for a 9-3pm shuttle run experience for those new to mountain biking or not wanting all the climbing of the other routes.

What do the guides do?

The Guides at the Bend Fat Tire Tour are simply top-notch locals to ride with and push you in the right direction. These riders display a unique knowledge of the local trails and will set a modest ride pace of around 10mph,7mph,5mph. Some Guides will act as sweeps to guide you for all but the last 5 or so miles the closer you get to Bend.
